For each of the following passages do three things: (1) name and (2) define the fallacies on display and (3) provide a brief discussion of the problem of reasoning in this particular manner in this specific case. Since Rock Hudson and Liberace were homosexual, and since homosexuality is an unfortunate perversion with deep psychological causes, it seems obvious that they should have been institutionalized in asylums which specialize in sexually based mental illness rather than allowed to run around practicing their particular perversions at will.
