Many children eat a lot of fast foods, and some early childhood education environments try to make their foods similar so that children will eat them.
Select two fast food restaurants to research. For each restaurant, select a meal that you might order for yourself and one that you would order for a child. Search the two restaurants for these meals.
What are the totals of calories, fats, carbohydrates, sugar, and protein for each meal?
Compare and contrast the adult meals from each restaurant, then compare and contrast the children’s meals.
Was one group healthier than the other?
Were the children’s meals healthier than the adult meals?
After doing this research, explain how fast-food meals have the ability to negatively impact health and nutritional well-being.
