    Dental Hygiene
Dental hygiene refers to the practice of keeping the mouth, teeth, and gums clean and healthy to prevent disease. Dental hygiene and oral health are often taken for granted but are essential parts of our everyday lives. What are the Dental Hygienist’s Duties? Perform oral healthcare and risk assessments that include the review of patients’ health history, taking and recording blood pressure, dental and periodontal charting, oral cancer screening and evaluation of oral disease/health etc…Dental Hygiene are licensed oral health professionals who focus on preventing and treating oral diseases-both to protect teeth and gums, and also to protect patients’ total health. Dental hygienists must also use several tools as part of their job. This includes hand, power, and ultrasonic tools for cleaning and polishing teeth, and x-ray machines for taking patient x-rays to check for issues with teeth and jaws. They may also use lasers.
In the research, it is important that when selecting the dental hygiene information career a dental hygienist probably has one of the most interesting and flexible jobs. Not only is this career interesting and flexible, but it is also very helpful towards others and usually pays pretty well too. Many people become dental hygienists because of the easy education requirements and high demand for their jobs. These days, dental hygienists are more respected and being hired more rapidly due to the fact that more and more people are keeping and taking better care of their teeth.
I will use this information in my life because dental hygiene was right choice for me and Dental hygienists also have the important job of educating patients on proper oral hygiene and care. Another thing this research project changed the way I feel about my future that is important for me to find out is how many years of study it takes to become a dentist. I want to know where the best schools are located for my area in this field of study. I am prepared to work on a lot of research to make sure I reach my goal Although it is difficult to become a dentist, I will work hard towards my goals. I plan on studying very hard. I will also educate myself on what opportunities are available so that I am prepared to work towards them as best I can. My focus right now is to keep school and work as my number one priority. My motivation will come from my personal goals and from my family. Dental hygiene is the ideal career for me, and this is my chosen path. The combination of a team-oriented environment, helping patient’s oral health, and flexible hours is what has taken me down this path.
Dental hypothesis exists to provide the dental community with a forum for free thought and the expression of non-mainstream ideas. It is hoped that the thought provoking ideas expressed in this open access journal will lead to progress in both the scientific and clinical arenas. Job satisfaction is one of the reasons why a dental hygienist career ranks as a top job is because of the career satisfaction. Hygienists are paid well, have a relatively low-stress level compared to other types of healthcare jobs, earn a competitive salary, and enjoy the benefit of knowing they’re helping others enjoy a better quality of life. For the future, I plan on finishing up my prerequisites and hopefully getting in the dental program. After finishing the dental program I plan to get a job as a dental hygienist. If I love it I will keep pursuing this; however, if I do not, I will then branch off and either be a representative or even teach some sort of science. This research helped me and got me so inspired to go down the career path that I have chosen.
In conclusion, The best description of a dental hygiene is a professional whose main job is to teach their patients necessary oral hygiene skills and provide great dental care. They perform various tasks around a dentist’s office such as applying fluoride treatments, removing plaque and stains, taking x-rays, removing sutures, placing temporary fillings, and evaluating the patient’s overall health. Dental hygienists do not just work in a dental office, but they also can work at schools, nursing homes, health clinics, and many other dental settings. Dental hygienists do not only have jobs that have a great salary and have more flexible hours than almost any other career out there, but they also have a job that helps people too. If one was to become a dental hygienist, at the end of the day they would be a lot more proud of this than anything else. There are a lot of advantages to becoming a dental that I really love about this career. Become a dental is something that I really want, because it can give me a lot of opportunities that I really want to have in a career.

Consider the following examples of irony. Classify each as verbal, dramatic, or situational and think about the purpose of each example.
Danforth says “I judge nothing” in response to the evidence that Proctor plows on Sunday.
Elizabeth Proctor, an honest woman, lies after Proctor has already confessed.
Proctor screams at the end: “I say God is dead…I hear the boot of Lucifer, I see his filthy face. And it is my face, and yours, Danforth…”
Readers know the girls are faking it when Danforth and the courts believe their act.
Finally, summarize the purpose of irony in this act of the play. Why did Miller include so much irony? Explain.

Read the below  that provides definitions for each of the six principles that make up IDEA:
    ?      Zero Reject
    ?      Non-Discriminatory Evaluation
    ?      Appropriate Education
    ?      Least Restrictive Environment
    ?      Parent and Student Participation
    ?      Procedural Due Process
    Principle 1: Zero Reject
The IDEA gives each eligible child with disabilities the right to a free appropriate
public education (FAPE). FAPE means educational services that are:
Provided at public expense under public supervision
Provided at no cost to the parents (other than ordinary costs charged to all
    students)
That are designed to meet the unique needs of each eligible student
Provided according to a written Individualized Education Program (IEP)
Provided to students from birth through age 21
That continue to be provided to students who have been suspended or
    expelled
All Means All – Regardless of severity of disability
Then, in your own words, provide your own definition including the importance of each of the principles to the provision of a free and appropriate public education (FAPE).

Is Technology Our Savior – or Our Slayer? | Ruha Benjamin | TED 1. What is the speaker’s thesis? Is it stated in specific terms or is the thesis vague? What is your initial reaction to the thesis? Do you feel as if you agree or disagree with the speaker at this stage? The main Thesis of the speaker is that a small group of people, particularly those with considerable power and resources, are having a disproportionate influence on shaping the future. The argument criticises the current focus on technological progress, especially in fields like space exploration, Al, and automation, while overlooking important social needs such as healthcare and housing for everyone.I believe the thesis is clearly expressed and avoids expressing unclear concepts. As an unbiased spectator, my first impulse is to acknowledge the speaker’s valid remarks. The criticism of unfair resource allocation and the potential consequences of favouring technology breakthroughs over community welfare is very stimulating. The thesis encourages contemplation on the moral quandaries and social consequences of today’s technology advancements. Personally, I agree with this critique and recommend a more egalitarian approach, even if some believe that technology discoveries are necessary for progress while also realising the importance of addressing social issues concurrently.

A teacher is one who guides or Teachers should be guides or leaders. In the role of a guide, a teacher does less mean to instruct directly. We often think of teaching as direct instruction (presenting information, asking questions, giving feedback, demonstrating some procedure, evaluating student progress, and so on): interaction with a teacher. But a teacher can guide without instructing directly. A good example is the Montessori system of education. In a Montessori school, most of what a child learns is through interacting with a variety of curriculum materials in a particular context. A Montessori teacher does much less direct instruction than do teachers in traditional schools. References Frick, T. (1991), Restructuring education through technology. Original Source Material Student Version To summarize, the elaboration model of instruction starts by presenting the elaboration theory (Reigeluth, 1999). Using this approach, the game would begin with a level that offered the simplest version of the whole task (the epitome); subsequent levels would become increasingly more complex–an approach common to videogames–with one layer at a time, until the desired level of detail or complexity is reached. Item 2 In the case below, the original source material is given along with a sample of student work. Determine the type of plagiarism by clicking the appropriate radio button. Original Source Material Student Version Educational researchers, policymakers, and practitioners agree that educational research is often divorced from the problems and issues of everyday practice–a split that creates a need for new research approaches that speak directly to problems of practice (National Research Council [NRC], 2002) and that lead to the development of “usable knowledge” (Lagemann, 2002). Design-based research (Brown, 1992; Collins, 1992) is an emerging paradigm for the study of learning in context, through the systematic design and study of instructional strategies and tools. We argue that design-based research can help create and extend knowledge about developing, enacting, and sustaining innovative learning environments. Item 3 In the case below, the original source material is given along with a sample of student work. Determine the type of plagiarism by clicking the appropriate radio button. Original Source Material In a complex task such as creating a website for learning, instructors may want to support the generation of multiple solutions in learners’ peer feedback. Anonymity may create a social context where learners feel freer to express varied ideas, and make the task of giving feedback less inhibited. However, teachers need to know just how anonymity impacts the learning dynamic in order to make informed choices about when anonymous configurations are appropriate in peer feedback. References: Howard, C. D., Barrett, A. F., & Frick, T. W. (2010). Anonymity to promote peer feedback: Pre-service teachers’ comments in asynchronous computer-mediated communication. Journal of Educational Computing Research, 43(1), 39-112. Student Version We agree with the idea that teachers must know how hiding identity can influence a learning experience so that they can make intelligent decisions regarding when hiding identity is apt in peer feedback situations (Howard, Barrett, & Frick, 2010). Without this knowledge teachers could be creating peer feedback activities that result in feedback being shared that is very different than the type that was desired or expected. Item 4 In the case below, the original source material is given along with a sample of student work. Determine the type of plagiarism by clicking the appropriate radio button. Original Source Material Student Version When instructors are creating discussion board activities for online courses, at least two questions must be answered. First, what is the objective of the discussions? Different objectives might be to create a “social presence” among students, so that they do not feel isolated, to ask questions regarding assignments or topics, or to determine if students understand a topic by having them analyze and evaluate contextual situations. Based on the response to this question, different rules might be implemented to focus on the quality of the interaction more so than the quantity. The second question is, how important are online discussions in comparison to the other activities that students will perform? This question alludes to the amount of participation that instructors expect from students in online discussions along with the other required activities for the course. If a small percentage of student effort is designated for class participation, our results show that it can affect the quality and quantity of interactions. References: Moore, J. L., & Marra, R. M. (2005) A comparative analysis of online discussion participation protocols. Journal of Research on Technology in Education, 33(2), 191-212. According to Moore and Marra’s (2005) case study, which observed two online courses, students in the first course implemented a constructive argumentation approach while students in second course had less structure for their postings. As they stated, when instructors create online discussion board activities, they must answer at least two questions. These questions are: “What is the objective of the discussions?” And “How important are online discussions in comparison to the other activities that students will perform?” According to their findings, the discussion activities that were designed based on the answers to these questions can influence the quality and quantity of interactions (Moore & Marra, 2005). Original Source Material Student Version I accept the point that whenever learning occurs, some medium or mix of media must be present to deliver instruction. However, if learning occurs as a result of exposure to any media, the learning is caused by the instructional methods represented in the medium rather than medium itself. It is the instructional methods which influence learning. Method is the inclusion of one of a number of possible representations of a cognitive process or strategy that is necessary for learning but which students cannot or will not provide for themselves. Original Source Material Student Version Learning from demonstrations is enhanced when learners actively engage in interaction with one another rather than passively observing the demonstration. When learners are required to find a new portrayal of the information that has been presented, they are required to process the information at a deeper level in order to identify and demonstrate this new portrayal. When they are required to demonstrate their new portrayals to one another, this provides additional portrayals of the information being taught, thus increasing the richness of the instruction.
