Assignment Prompt & Instructions

Using all your hard work from previous modules, this week you will write and submit a draft of the written portion of your Final Project. **Refer to your** [**outline**](https://boisestatecanvas.instructure.com/courses/48297/assignments/1664231 "Assignment 2: Final Paper Outline") **to guide the flow of your doc, and use your sources to provide evidence on your topic.** Specific requirements are listed below.

### Instructions

For this assignment, you will write and submit an evidence-based paper on the topic you have spent the last few weeks researching.

1. Access the **TEMPLATE linked at the bottom of the page** and save a copy as " **[Last Name] First Draft Final Doc.**"
2. The body of the doc must be **3-4 in length**
– All text should be double-spaced (throughout the entire document, not just the body)
– This length requirement does _**NOT**_ include your title or references docs. So with these 2 additional docs, the minimum length is more like 5-6.
3. Include the following:
– Include a **title doc**
– Include at least **3 headings**
– Include a **minimum of 1 reference doc**
– Include a **minimum of 4 peer-reviewed articles as references**
– Include a **minimum of 1 in-text citation from** _**each**_ **source** (a minimum of 4 in-text citations total)

– Ideally, _each paragraph_ should have at least one in-text citation (if not more like 2-4).
– Remember that in-text citations are not just for quotes! Often the best way to cite a reference is with a parenthetical citation (Author et al., year) at the end of a sentence.
4. Use **no more than 2** **total direct quotations** for the entire doc. You are _**not**_ _required_ to include _any_ direct quotes. In fact, it is preferred that you do_not_use quotes.
5. All elements of the paper must be **formatted according to** [**APA 7th edition 'Student doc'**](https://owl.purdue.edu/owl/research_and_citation/apa_style/apa_formatting_and_style_guide/apa_sample_paper.html) requirements.

– This includes the structure and style of the title and reference pages, as well as [**headings**](https://owl.purdue.edu/owl/research_and_citation/apa_style/apa_formatting_and_style_guide/apa_headings_and_seriation.html) and in-text citations within the body of the paper.
– Remember that you have many APA resources available to you on the [**APA Formatting Resources**](https://boisestatecanvas.instructure.com/courses/48297/pages/apa-formatting-resources-2 "APA Formatting Resources") doc.
6. When you are ready to submit, **come back here and upload your document**.

– **Option 1**: If you used the Word document template, this should be fairly simple. Upload your document as you would any other file.
– **Option 2**: If you used the Google Docs template, _you will need to download a file of your document_ and then upload it here. As before, **I will** _**NOT**_ **accept a link to a Google Doc**.
